Submission Guidelines

Important

We only accept family-friendly AI science fiction.

If your story is not clearly science fiction, does not place AI near the center of the story, or is not suitable for a general audience, it is not the right fit for this section.

What we are looking for

We want stories where artificial intelligence meaningfully shapes human life, relationships, family life, memory, work, education, trust, or society.

Science fiction: the story should clearly belong to science fiction or near-future speculative fiction.
AI-centered: AI should matter to the plot, characters, or world in a serious way.
Family-friendly: the story may be serious, strange, moving, or unsettling, but it should remain suitable for a broad audience.
Human-written: we are looking for stories written by people, not machine-generated story output.

What we do not want

  • Fantasy or non-speculative fiction
  • Stories where AI is just background decoration
  • Erotica or explicit sexual content
  • Graphic violence or shock-driven gore
  • Fan fiction
  • Culture-war bait or slogan-driven fiction
  • Fully AI-generated stories
  • Heavily AI-shaped stories presented as original fiction

Length and format

  • Length: 1,200 to 5,500 words
  • Format: pasted in the email body or attached as .docx
  • Please include: story title, author name, word count, short bio, and whether the story is a simultaneous submission

We accept submissions in the following languages. Please write in whichever you are most comfortable with.

Originality and AI policy

Submissions must be your own original work and should not already be published elsewhere in full.

AIHumanLove publishes human-written fiction. Basic spelling or grammar correction tools are fine, but we do not accept AI-generated stories, prompt-built stories, or substantially machine-written fiction.

Rights and editorial discretion

If accepted, the author grants AIHumanLove first digital publication rights and the non-exclusive right to archive the story on the site. Copyright remains with the author.

The editor reserves the right to decline any submission, or to refrain from responding, without providing a reason.

Before you submit

  • Is this clearly science fiction?
  • Is AI central to the story?
  • Is it family-friendly?
  • Is it original and human-written?
